Squaw Winter is illustrated by the Wyoming artist Dawn Senior.  It goes without saying that Senior's illustrations add wonderfully to the collection. Especially alluring is her black and white drawing of Aztec goddess Coatlicue holding the sun in her right hand and the moon in her left.  Other drawings in the collection are reminiscent of 19th Century poet/artist William Blake.  The beauty of the drawings alone are well worth the price of the book."
