In the late 1800's a family built this homestead cabin on the banks
of the wild and scenic Encampment River, and raised six children
here. Now, the old place belongs to an octogenarian rancher who
raises fine racing quarter horses and prize longhorn cattle. When
Dawn and Juel drove past one day and saw the bull, Rudy, making
himself at home, they pulled over so Dawn could sketch the scene!
