Dawn painted this gouache for her mother, who at age 83
is no longer able to live out at the family cabin, with its lack of electricity,
running water, plumbing, and only the woodstove for heat.
Mrs. Senior now lives in a house (actually an old hotel dating from the turn of
the last century) at the top of the hill on Main Street in Saratoga. She enjoys
a good view of the Snowy Range, and the neighborhood is not exactly urban in
feeling!
