More information about this western life claybord below.
At the rodeo, after the bronco riding, calf and team roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, and before the bull riding
begins, we take a break to let the children have their turn at the fun!
What hilarity for the watching grownups! Sometimes the little buckaroos and
buckarettes have to run to be the first to tie a ribbon onto a calf's tail.
They might try to ride one of those tough big calves, give goat-tying a whirl,
or -- most delightful of all -- go mutton-busting! What a race! -- sheep
leaping and butting and bleating, little fists gripping wool, sneakers and
ropers clinging, dust flying, hair streaming, and grins breaking out from ear to
ear!

"I don't like Dawn's
drawings, I worship them and feel great pride and much humility
that my poems struck such searing fire in her creative woodlands. I can
say only 'Bless her!', for sharing in my dreams, and working them into
reality." - Poet Virginia Love Long, author of the book Squaw Winter
